Symbiosis 2009

IN THE SHRINE AT SYMBIOSIS 2009

CHECKERED FUTURES

Checkered futures?           What future?
Johnny Rotten barked it best
Tell me about this future
and what storied past will you call upon
The future is as alive
as the great green
that gobbles light
and gushes spring
Tell me about your future
and you better start with once upon a time
As for me, I stand here always
waving the checkered flag
that welcomes home my glory

Love

                    Love?      Are you kidding me?
I just droped off the edge
My hair is flying up like Don King
My belly just soared through my chest
like a school of excited fish
and escaped out of my mind
                                              like Starling
I'm falling in love at a speed
                              of 75 miles per hour
                                                free fall
Through all the galaxy's lovely jewels
Through all the ocean's silky fingers
Through all the fairytales and masquerades

                             I'm falling
                                      and I know
                                                I will never land

RED NOSES, ICE DILDO,  AND FALLING

Quite frankly the appendage upon my nose
is a sort of abscess that never gets worse
a birthmark that's never been in the family
                             Funny thing is...
                                                 here, go ahead
                                       honk it

                               HONK!          HONK!

                  Sounds like a bicycle
Every other feature of my face is Clark Gable
                                               could be Phd. material
                    But give er another honk

                                    HONK!          HONK!

               And here she comes
                                     My love
                          in the Tonka VW
I know...how does she fit in that thing?
                                          Because she's magic
                               and she loves
                                          more then any one
                                  my horny appendage
so greets me licking her ice dildy
And I'm falling like a clown
                                                          in love

CONCERN FOR A FRIEND NOW FAR A WAY

People of practicality toss shit and rot in a pile
grow tomatoes next spring
mix it all up and let it sit
nature never sleeps
the steady alchemy
Sun     Rain     Air
makes the mix
that feeds the soil
cause everything has a hunger
to live
to continue
in the great breathing mix
You have so enriched my life
I grow like sunflower and cane
Without such nutriment
I may wilt and wither
so warm, soft, and fresh as air
I am
with you

a sun so far away
